Midisport USb 8X8 and gigastudio

Has anyone experienced any driver conflicts between Midisport USB 8x8 midi interface and gigastudio? I get wierd freezes when I try to assign any settings with this midi interface. Giga works fine with midisport 4X4 and Midiman Delta 1010 midi interface. (I am running Windows 2000).
