(First posted in Sound Cards, but no one has answered.)

Hi,
I\'m looking for a new card for my GigaStudio machine that would support an ADAT interface back to my Digi 001/Pro Tools LE workstation. The RME DIGI96/8 looks like it fits my technical and financial budget.
I did some searches here and found little definitive information. I know a few folks are using this card? What sort of results are you getting? Latency? Stability? Win ME or Win XP of main interest.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

The 96/8 does not have a GSIF driver under XP.

Thanks Jeannot. I know you had one of these boards. Did it work well for you, and were you using ME or 98SE?

Any info on whether RME will do a GSIF driver for XP?

Hi Mark,

The 96/8 worked well with GSIF and ASIO under 98SE, it was a disaster under ME.
The ASIO driver under XP was excellent. We have been waiting since December for a GSIF driver under XP/2000. I seriously doubt that there will ever be one....

Jeannot.
