Avoid the RAMBUS if thy can...jury still out, especially 512 sticks

also XP is prolly a better choice or TASCAM is pushing people to XP...

I have intel 860GB + 2 gig rambus....giga doesnt support over 1 gig

and

I get wierd errororss

For a midi device, try an Ego-Sys 4140 miditerminal. It connects via the printer port and shares power with the keyboard. Very stable and low latecy midi interface.

I can\'t second Lennies endorsement of the MIDI terminal. I\'ve had tons of trouble with it, and eventually I decided to put it into my closet and buy a MIDISport 8x8 - works great and even on USB!

I use Midiman Midisport 4x4 and it works great. Just make sure u have the latest drivers!!!
The driver-cd which came with the box was full of old-*** drivers and the cd didnt even work properly.. But other than that im very satisified with it..

Oh btw, the newest drivers are available at the Midiman website images/icons/smile.gif
