firewire sample drives

is anyone successfully using firewire drives for sample playback?

Hi Jebarti,
I have, but I did not do it long enough to be really sure of it. Also, I tend to use no more than 4-7 instruments, (pop/world beat music) so my usage model might not be appropriate for what you\'ll be doing.
