Is there a way to dither (is that the right word?) a ton of wave files at once from 24-bit to 16-bit?

It's possible in Digital performer. What sequencer do you use?

Peak will do it in a flash, but it's only on a Mac.

Actually, I wanted to dither 24 bit giga samples to 16 bit. I just figured out how...
Sorry! False alarm.
Batch mode in WaveLab works just fine doing this - and much more.

Voxengo has the best Sample rate converter. Even free version, r8brain does amazing job, and r8brain Pro has received great feedback from many pros (check Nuendo Forum).
But Dithering is a different beast. WaveLab would allow you to use dither algorithm of your choice (including one in Voxengo Elephant), save it as a preset and apply in a batch mode to your source files.
