Lots of surprises awaiting, I am sure.

My 21st year was filled with things like troop ships, driving an open jeep in a blinding rainstorm along the Ok Bong Reservoir without my glasses, riding shotgun on a supply truck, and other fun things. That was the year that I first encountered "whites only" drinking fountains in train stations, blacks in the back of the bus, blacks could not be served in restaurants, had to use the takeout window in the back alley.

Thanks everyone! I had a great birthday this year! First, I slept in, which is always something I love to do . . . :) Then JABB arrived, then I enjoyed the chat, then I had cake and ice-cream, then I went to see Harry Potter with my brother, then I was very happy to receive some fine family gifts including much wanted Ayn Rand books and a nice cheap violin to fool around with! :D What a fantastic day!

This violin is torture for my family! :D I won't be able to afford lessons for a while, but it's fun to fiddle around with in the mean time. :D I can't even hold the thing . . .
