View Full Version : TNT's "The Engagement Ring" - Music by Jeff Beal- This week on TNT

'The Engagement Ring' will premiere tonight on TNT television network.

The music was compose by one of our members Jeff Beal.

Jeff had a beta copy of the Jazz and Big Band Library and used it in the movie.

THE ENGAGEMENT RING is a love story starring Emmy®-winning actress Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond, TNT's The Goodbye Girl). Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Lainie Kazan (My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Beaches), Vincent Spano (Alive, Oscar) and Tony Lo Bianco (The French Connection, City of Hope).

It will be playing on various days this week.
Monday (tonight) at 8pm, 10 pm and 12am
Wednesay at 10 Pm and 12 am
Satuday at 1 pm
Sunday at 11 pm

The music was definitely Jeff Beal and perfect! I wondered if he used Jabb but wasn't sure considering the time he would have started writing.
As for the movie itself, well let me put it this way ... excellent music!

Thanks for posting the news and sharing the MP3s Gary - I'll point out the horns in both of these arrangements (except the live trumpet) were litererally done the 1st day I got the JABB lib from Gary/Tom - thanks guys for the great tool!!

Good work Jeff! The movie was on this weekend, and since I had nothing else to do, I figured I'd give it a watch (mostly motivated by the fact that you scored it ;)) It was a good score, fit the movie well I thought.... and the movie wasn't half bad either, though a little cliche and rather predictable, but amusing.
