Help me out with my new motherboard!!!

I\'m going to install new Abit kg7-Raid motherboard tomorrow and I was wondering about that raid feature. What is the best way to install two HDs? Should I use raid or what? My computer is DAW so performance of these HDs must be optimal. I have no experience of raid so help me out...

The short answer: If your primary use is for Giga I don\'t think you want to use a RAID setup. One drive for OS and programs, one dedicated solely to the audio samples is the optimal configuration.

I agree with David: with such a configuration (no raid, just one drive for boot and the other for samples) I managed to get 160 voices from the boot drive too (after having optimized it in the way my site suggests to).

Avoid using Maxtor drives, I dunno why but they always produced pops and clicks in workstations.
