Externally clocking Giga with Mackie D8B question

Has anyone sucessfully clocked a GigaSystem via ADAT lightpipe with a Mackie D8B that is getting its clock from another master? The giga doesn\'t have a word clock input so it must be slaved to the D8B. Just want to make sure this will work ok.

Hi,

yes, worked all well, but this definitely depends on the I/O-solution your Giga-rig is going to use. I have onl best experiences with RME-cards, especially the hammerfall series. As they provide easy auto-sync-clocking AND wordclock, you should consider going this way, if your current card should fail or irritate you.
