CPU Power

Hello Everyone
My computer appears to be using vast amounts of CPU power when I am using Sibelius with Gigastuduio - at least 150%. Should it be using this much bearing in mind I have a 1.7GHz processor and 256MG of RAM?

It is obviously not possible for a program to use 150% CPU power....
