Hardware recommendation for Giga

Hi all

may I ask, would I benefit more from a second hard drive (and therefore have access to software RAID in XP) or upgrading my processor from PIII 997Mhz or to a P4. I have 512 Mb of RAM and an Audiophile 2496 card.

Although I don\'t know what kind of apps you\'re running, my recommendation to you is to definitely upgrade to a P4, preferably a P4 2.0 and above if you can afford it.
Of course, I also strongly recommend a second dedicated drive for your audio data or you\'ll lose the benefits of the additional performance of your brand new CPU! Do not \"Raid\" your OS and audio drive together (raid0).
