Hello,

I have the giga version of PMI Emperor and while it's a great piano, because I have Gigastudio LE (64 voices), I'm running into a polyphony limit while playing. I was wondering if anybody had tried Gigastudio Solo (96 voices) with the PMI pianos and if that was sufficient for just playing the piano?

Thanks,
Chinmay

I believe piano is one of the instruments that benefits most from "unlimited" polyphony. Remember that Giga voice count actually shows mono voices. Each of our samples is stereo so it takes up two voices in the counter. GigaStudio Solo (96 voices) would let you play 48 notes before note stealing cuts in. I personally believe that Ensemble with a 160 note polyphony limitation is better for piano than Solo. I hardly ever have readings above 160.
