Although I like working with notation programs, I'm still a pencil and paper notator at times.

Here's a site where you can download and print staff paper:

Music Paper (http://www.lib.virginia.edu/dmmc/Music/Musicpaper/)

The staff paper comes in a variety of layouts and is in PostScript and PDF formats. All are for 81/2 x 11 paper (portrait orientation) unless otherwise noted.

oooo... Thanks for the link! This gets added to my "Favorites" :D

I need to practice my musical handwriting :D

I'm pretty stinky at writing on staff paper, but I can at least pull it out and try when I'm bored or I want to look smart. :D I would love to get better at writing on paper though.

Well, why not just use your notation program to design and print your own as you need it? Tailor made to your specs, available in any quantity that you want, one side or double side, as you wish. That has been my solution since I ran out of my 10 year supply that I brought from the city and used in far less than 10 years.

Thank you for this link. There have been so many times that I am at work and have an idea and no paper to jot it on. This will be really helpful to me.
Best,

cool link. there's also www.blanksheetmusic.net which allows various degrees of customization.

i used to use a program called Guido which was free, but it no longer works on my computer.

I have a little notebook filled with manuscript paper that I got because of music theory classes... bring it everywhere I go, just in case I get a brilliant line that I need to remember. I knew those siight singing and ear training classes would come in handy...

I'm working on re-aquainting myself to doing "pencil to paper". I saved the link! Thanks!

But. . . if we all have notation programs (which many people here seem to own), we can make our own (which you all probably already know :o ).

Me??

I have about 4 different blank manuscript templets that I use, created from Finale. I just print them up when I need them. :D

Wow, pig heaven!

Now I don't have to sit there and draw all those lines with a ruler.
