I want the first violin "sul tasto" (to be bowed over the fingerboard), what do I notate to go back to the regular bowing? Thanks!

"ord." (for "ordinario")

Or "nat." for "naturale".

Thanks for the info! So what would be more universally understood- "ord.", "nat.", or are both equal?

Either one is fine. Any string player will understand either one. I generally use "ord." but that's just out of habit.

I've seen ord. more often in orchestral scores, but either is acceptable.
