Hi ! Im thinking about bying GS for my
P2 400 computer. I have Audiowerk and
Turtle beach Montego A3DX installed but from
what I have heard these soundcards are not
compatible with GS....is this true , if not
do I nead new drivers and where do I find
them ?

The Montego should work, just make sure you have the newest drivers and that they have Native Direct x drivers. (not emulated direct x) We have had several installed on the computers we get from Dell out of the box and they have worked. (until we replaced them with mixtreams or Events or Aardvarks of course)

WOW!
Just looking through really old threads here.
Thats how computers used to be?
Kinda hard to imagine surviving on a machine like that!
The average nowadays is more of P4 3 ghz with a 260 gb hard drive and 1 gb of RAM. All of the megas turned to gigas!

Maybe Giga 2 would work but with GS3 it's a risk.

Uh-oh.... are we starting a trend of bumping ancient threads? If so there are definitely some real gems back there well worth savoring all over again.
