Hello,

I just got my Stradivari Solo Violin today, and am having a horrible time trying to copy the files. There are a number of files that simply *can not* be copied from the CD ROM. I have tried using two different readers, and multiple times. I've never been *not* able to copy any file before, so this is very frustrating.

One of the files gave the following error when trying to copy:
Cannot copy mpnv_noise41F3: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

The rest come in the form:
Cannot copy pizzf1_49C#4: Cannot read from the source file or disk.

It's taking a long time to try to even copy the ones that are good, because the bad ones freeze the PC for a good 45 seconds before spitting out the error message. Right now, I'm up to a list of 14 bad files.

There is nothing visibly wrong with the disk, and yes, I have tried cleaning it.

What should I do here? Can I send someone a list of the bad files and have those particular samples sent to me? Or should I ask for a new installation disk? I was really hoping to be able to play with this today. :(

Jamie,

Please send me the list of the defective files, and I'll email them to you.

Jamie,

It could be the disc became scratched or is defective. Could also be a reader compatibility issue. Try it it another computer and see if you can copy the files. Contact me and I'll be glad to send you a replacement disc or Giorgio or I could email the problematic files.
