I need help with Maestro Tools please

Hi everyone,

I'm feeling really stupid right now. I can't figure out how to make Maestro Tools legato work. I've registered it. I think that I'm not doing something right as far as the input/output goes. I've tried all of the combinations that I have available. I use Sonar 4 pe. Any suggestions? I've read the manual several times, and the info that I need doesn't seem to be in there. Please help - I'm so frustrated :(

Since you don't say at what point your configuration goes kerblooie, assuming PC setup...

1) Run maple.exe.
2) Select the Maple MIDI port and channel you're using on the left.
3) In the "Effect Name" drop-down, select MaestroTools.
4) Use the settings particular to the loaded GOS patch (in particular "LEG")
5) Use the same Maple MIDI input port and channel in your sequencer/host
6) Play

Hi Markleford,
I've tried that and it doesn't work. I was able to get it working temporarily, but I'm having trouble again. Thanks for the help though. It really SHOULD be that easy, but it's not.

But what actually happens? What are the symptoms you're seeing?

One thing to consider, since you said you got it working temporarily, is that some MIDI virtual port systems have feedback detection in them, so that if you route them wrong they automatically shut off. I'm not sure if this is done in the Maple MIDI ports, nor do I know if Jeff will swoop into this thread to tell us!
