SBLive & sound colouration/hardware performance issues

Hi Everyone..

Thinking about picking up an SBLive here for giga. I had heard that the SBLive causes a bit of sound colouration, i.e, not a true representation of what things actually sound like when doing things through its analogue outputs. Is this fixed by using it Digtial outputs instead?

Also, I had also heard that the hardware acceleration on the card could impact system performance while using gigasampler. Is this true, and is there any way around it?

what would be the best price-performance card beyond SB AWE64gold ment for two channel library playing the GS. Sound quality: low noise is my main criterium;
