Does anyone have a Sound Blaster AWE64 (not gold) that works with
GIGASampler v1.52 and Cakewalk 8.04 without any problems??
I\'m about to switch that card for something else..

Instaling new drivers for that card to work with GIGA,
(from Creative Labs) which finaly made it work,
the driver installation deleted the
Wavesynth/WG device already installed (in the Control Panel System)
by the previous old drivers CD. The problem I can\'t solve
now is Cakewalk who needs that device. If that device
is not instaled Cakewalk 8.04 CRASHES while exiting it
with an error window (This program will stop because...)
that WON\'T CLOSE EVER!

Please, users of GIGASampler v1.52 and Cakewalk 8.04
Give me the sound card\'s name you use
without problems.

Thanks
JP

Hi,

Tested and works great:

1. AWE64 (CW) + GINA (GS)
2. Aardvark Aark 20/20+ (CW & GS running on the same card).
3. Soundscape Mixtreme (CW & GS running on the same card).

We found out that the last option is the best and it will give you:
- up to 16 outputs for GS.
- Run ALL of your audio aplications at the same time from one card (Multi client driver).
- Add Real-Time FX like TC Reverbe, EQ, Dynamics to evrything (Including GS).
- Use the added mixer software for this card to mix all your ext synths thru the unputs of this card.

Have fun,

Thanks.
I finaly droped my AWE64 and bought
a Turtle beach Montego Xstream, loaded
its drivers and it worked the very first
time with all my softs.
At $100(can) its a wonder with
very good S/N ratio.
Thanks anyway.
