Can’t imagine a better incentive to join the GB. If I didn’t already own it, I’d be all over this. Seriously looking forward to trying this multi.

I agree. Frank is a class act. It is very refreshing to see this kind of attitude.
The other thing is that Mr. Okawa is also a class act. I had the pleasure of speaking with him. What a nice man!
I had a bum disk once (I think it was more that my DVD reader sucks), and he shipped a new one out via overnight THE SAME DAY!
LPC is an amazing library. It really captures the essence of a Les Paul. That video has me drooling (more than usual):D . I sure can't wait for the update!
Great Work Mr. Okawa! Please keep it up!
I would sure get in on the GB guys - great library!

No offense, but I think there are better uses for Akihito's time. Can't anyone apply the techniques used for the distorted version to the clean version? I would think the techniques would be the same, no?

You’re most welcome, Akihito. I’m deeply impressed by your product and your commitment to continue improving it. If there was a weakness in LPC it was the real-time playability and general ease of use and these new multis seem to address this very nicely.
Best of luck with the group buy – you certainly deserve it.

Hello Brian2112,
It was great to talking to you!
You are a nice man, too. You spoke very gently and listened to my bad English very patiently on the phone. :)
You are essential to keep the forums a joyful and peaceful place.

Basically, yes. the multi is availabile and usable in the both versions.
But, for example, if you make a smooth jazz tune, octave playing technique really suits that kind of tunes. LPC has the samples of octave playing technique but due to the loading size and considering the ease of switching, I didn't include the octave playing technique in the multi. LPC Super Performance multi doesn't include all of the samples / playing techniques. The multi uses only a part of LPC.
Hopefully we will work on a multi which includes the octave playing technique in the next update.

Wow. Very impressive... imagine that, now we call all have our own "Steve Vai in a box," awaiting our every musical whim...
This "multi" is for K2 users... how would a GigaStudio3 user handle these mighty sounds?
* * * * *
There are two sounds that I would love to use a guitar sample set.
The first, and most important, is the palm-muted, scooped-out death metal sound demonstrated here by Meshuggah's own Fredrik Thordendal... accompanied by the incomparable Morgan Aagren on drums: http://www.meshuggah.net/samples/trends12.mp3 I know that he doubles each rhythm-guitar strum on bass, but you get the basic idea...
The other is the fast, palm-muted rhythm guitar strum like . . . hmmm . . . okay, like the fast ("soldier boy...") sections of Metallica's "Disposable Heroes."
Can these be approximated with the sounds in this set?
Thanks,
alanb

Giga Studio Users can use all the sounds / samples included in LPC, but unfortunately, the performance multi is not available in the Giga version at this point.
I love GigaStudio, it loads instruments faster than other samplers, the stack instrument feature is really convenient, and has a lot of its own great features, but the multi makes full use of Kontakt2's scripting feature which allows us to program more complex and intelligent articulations.

Basically it depends on your amp or amp simulator setting.
Have you check the demo, ;
http://www.prominy-ss.com/demo/LPC/Mr_Mosquito.mp3
The distorted sound is not the same as your examples, but LPC can do heavy metal things.
I also made a quick example (sorry for the rough demo, it was a few minutes-job.).

Hello jakarin,
Glad to hear that you are enjoying the new multi. The midi file is very simple and easy to grasp how the multi works. I guess many of LPC users are accomplished keyboard players. I'd love to user's performance demo video in the future.

... because it's classified. Hush-hush, you know. I've actually told people on this forum where it is, and then had to send viruses to their computers which causes electricity to fly up out of their keyboard and zap their brains to smitherines... all in the name of preserving Prominy's dark, dark secret.
If you actually REGISTER your product... so that you can then appropriately call yourself a REGISTERED USER... Mr. Okawa shall let you into our exclusive little club... via electronic mail. All the proper details will be contained in his correspondence.

Okay, you got me. Thank you for the personalized demo-creation. I have ordered the distorted guitar... The demo is, as you say, not exactly the sound I'm looking for, but I think that I'll have a lot of fun figuring out all the things that it can do.
I've had such a dreadful time with TASCAM's and MOTU's shamefully godawful tech support, since getting involved in the surprisingly difficult world of GigaStudio, and I'm delighted to see the level of your involvement with Prominy's customers...
Hopefully you will produce some GS3 (iMIDI?) equivalent of the Kontakt Multi, someday...
Thanks,
Alan
