easy one..."Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco" for Lucky Strike cigarettes. That's taking up valauable space in my brain that I wish I could use for other, more useful info.

Next question...why did they change Lucky's from a green package to the white and red in the 40's?

Don't know, but Betty Davis smoked about 90 Lucky's a day. She is my Hero!!

No...it has more to do with the time period when it happened.

BINGO! - "Lucky Strike goes to war!".

Let's see if we can keep this going. Fill in the missing product name from the following ad phrase:

"You use XXXXX. Don't you wish everyone did?"

;-)

EDIT: that quote is slightly "off", but close enough.

...more valuable organic-RAM wasted!

That's it!

...this is too easy with the Internet available. Why can't I get info about really useful stuff, like the forgotten model number of the 9-year-old rack in the server room?

I accidentally edited out the part of my post where I promised I didn't Google  I said Scope first (mouthwash) but then I remembered all the people in the elevator. That was a pretty easy one though, for anyone over 35.

How did I get two posts?

oh well...

...yeah, that's the key! They really drilled that stuff into our heads, didn't they?

Okay, for the beer drinkers in the crowd, name the two beers (and without Googling):

1) "land of eleven hundred springs"

2) "land of sky blue waters"

...you can tell I really have a LOT going on today!

I know the second. Have no idea on the first. I'll wait and see if anyone bites.

And I'll raise you:

3) America's Fire-brewed beer

4) "It's the water!!"

and

5) "...then they sucked it all up- with their FINGERS!! It was weird!!!"

Gonna have to guess on #1: Rolling Rock? --- Of course, #2 is Hamms. --- Fred's #3 is --- hmmm --- Stroh's?

Ern :|:

Right on Hamms, but #1 is from a lot further south than Rolling Rock. 2112 or Larry Alexander should know this one...

Fred's got me stumped on all of his!

Lone Star!?

I remember when I was gigging in a band down in Oklahoma/Texas, the only beer we could afford was Busch. They were undercutting all the other brands at the time --- I believe a 12-pack was $2.29! Burp!

Ern :n: :|:

Close but no seegar!

When I was in college in the 70's, Shiner was the "cheap stuff" that people only drank becuase it was all they could afford (Shiner Bock excepted). A few years later I heard they were sold to a Mexican company who could then claim it as an "imported beer" and sales sky-rocketed.

Correct on Stroh's!! 5 should be easy- it's a major beer.

One of the 18 different varieties of Sam Adams? That's just a guess, but I can't imagine Bud or Miller using that line in an ad (but then I can't imagine a lot of things that I see and hear everyday)...

The catch is that it isn't a tagline like the others- just something a character said in a commercial, so really it probably can't be part of the game anyway. With that in mind, here's a big hint: "Rellim Reeb! Rellim Reeb!!"

Miller Beer! :D
