Athlon K7 600 mhz system vs. SoundBlaster Live MP3 sound card

Have you heard of any compatability issues re: the Athlon K7 600mhz cpu w/ Gigabyte motherboard and the SoundBlaster Live! MP3 audio card?

While using this card I get numerous freezes, which can only be resolved (apparently) by rebooting the system. Sometimes these are \"blue screen\" freezes. Other times, while playing a simple midi sequence, the sequence simply stops, the mouse freezes, and re-booting the system seems to be the only option....i.e. ctrl-alt-del doesn\'t work.

Any thoughts?

I have Microstar MS6167 with AMD 751 chipset. Works great with SB Live Platinum. Never had any freezes. I\'ve upgraded my BIOS though several times; the original bios did not like MOTU 2408 (I didn\'t have SB Live card back then, so I didn\'t try).
