I was just curious if Gigasampler full edition would work with my internal soundcard on my Hewlett Packard. It\'s just the standard card that comes with the computer. 400 MHZ, 64 meg RAM, 6 gig hard drive.
If so, what are the drawbacks? I know I need to get a midi port to midi my computer to my Roland XP-80.
Will the soundblaster Live card work okay?

Well,
I am not quite sure, but if your card has a DirectX driver, there is a chance it would work. Drawbacks? No digital out, only two channels output (= also restricted use of the effects - see some other topics), to name just two.
SBL Live seems to be one of the safests cards to go for. But the 2-Channels restriction applies here as well.
By the way, 64 Meg RAM is really the bottom boarder, if you want to do something bigger than basic you\'ll need more. And for orschestral? Forget it even with 128 MB!
