The 2.1 update is now available for download from NI's updates page (http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?id=updates_us).

Server seems to be down... At least they're under heavy load. I finally managed to get it downloaded using wget, but I guess GetRight and other downloaders might work as well.

I'm not familiar with what you are calling downloaders. Could you give me a heads-up as to what they are?

I should have used the word "download manager". It's programs that let you resume downloads if they are aborted. So if the download cuts off midway you can continue from where it left off instead of starting over. Please do a google search for GetRight.

First impression:
The update works well over here. I was suffering the well known "release sample blues" when playing big patches. Now it's gone :)

thanks for the info. NI's server is down again. Is this update a big one, or is it possible to e-mail that thing? :p

I used Free Download Manager - http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm

I tried about 15 times direct from the NI site but all I got was a 4Mb file and a message that said it was corrupt. Using a download manager was the onyl way I could get the whole thing! Still took a while (20 minutes or so), but got eventually.

I decided it wasn't all that important. I've lived without it long enough, I couldn't install it right away - have to allow for any problems - and there's enough people out there that are trying to get to the site for support. I'll try again after my gig tonight and probably about every 12 hours after that just for gits and shrins to see how long it takes to taper off.

Is it universal binary? Can't find anything that says it is. Need to know if it'll work with my MacBook.

Not Universal Binary...that update is coming by the end of Q2 of this year.

The report for now is that I'm getting a 0-byte file when trying to download the update. I think someone needs to refresh the server.

Is the zipped or unzipped file 37MB? What I downloaded was 13.7MB??? Just want to make sure I got the complete file

Kontakt2_210U_Win.zip (containing the update) is 37.5 MB.
Kontakt2_DemoInstr_Win.zip (containing some cool but not that useful demo instruments) is 44.3 MB.

If your zip-file is only 13.7 MB it's incomplete.
