Hi!

I read through the manual that was delivered as a pdf file when ordering Garritanīs Jazz and Big Band product!

Still I cant find any information of how I can play more than one sound at a time... It might be a problem that I am quite new to Cubase SX 3 as well... but if someone in here got the answer I will appreciate it. But hey, take it easy cause I am in the beginning of my learning phaze.

1) You create one instance of JABB

2) There are 8 blank slots across the top of the interface. Click one to activate it, then use the "Load" function to choose the instrument to put there.

3) Repeat for up to 8 of these slots (and if you need more, go back to step #1 and create another instance of the plugin).

4) In the interface, below the little readout that says 'CPU USAGE' is a box that has a number (with a 'MIDI plug' icon blob beside it: not very descriptive, and NI should change this in the player!). That is the MIDI Channel that the instrument uses. For each of the 8 slots, the MIDI channels will default to 1 through 8.

5) In your sequencer, create MIDI tracks that point to each of these channels in the JABB plugin. Now the notes on those tracks should be routed to the correct sounds.

Does that get you any closer?

Beautiful description! Thanks a lot!

Wonder why the manual doesnt contain a pedagogic guidance like this! Would I suppose to know things like this or what?

Thanks again!

I think the manual goes part of the way, but probably misses out on describing the sequencer/host program side of things. Maybe it does expect you to know things about your sequencer!
