Here is a demo of Gustav Holst's Jig from his St. Paul's Suite. It uses only the VSL VI Chamber Strings and Wizooverb W2 reverb.

I hope you enjoy the energy of this spirited piece. I'm especially fond of the "bite" of the lower strings when they take the melody at 2:22.

I'm thoroughly impressed.

How much tweaking did this take? Keyswitches, patch changes, MIDI control, etc.? Or did the performance tool take care of it all?

chris.

jloeb and Chris, thanks for listening and thanks especially for taking the time to post your reaction. I really appreciate it. It's no fun to toil in a vacuum.

Chris-- I always do a lot of tweaking. This piece was no exception-- mostly keyswitched patch changes + midi controller #11. But once I had worked out the first violin part I was able to transfer much of the tweaking to the other sections rather quickly since this piece is largely homophonic.

Best,
Jay
