Hi all:

Would LOVE any advice or assistance anyone here can offer. I have a fresh build of WinXP on my 3.6GHz machine (and 3Gb of RAM). I have freshly installed Cubase SX3 and Garritan JABB - when I add JABB to the VST Instruments list, it appears fine.

When I open a MIDI file and attempt to assign one of the channels to JABB, Cubase instantly slows right down, and any effort at dragging a window across the screen results in 2 second interval jags as that window is dragged.

This goes on for about 30 seconds before Cubase goes into "Not Responding" mode and crashes.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Dave.

Just an idea... but have you installed the latest updates for SX3 and JABB?

What is the load activity indicator doing? Are you showing an increase in load on the processor?

Have you tried it with different instruments? Does it happen with all of them or just isolated ones?

What happens if you start with a new file rather than opening an existing one?
