VIA PCI audio with Gigasampler

Ive got Gigasampler 1.6 running on a PIII667 and I\'m trying to use it with my inbuilt VIA soundcard which supports Directsound. I\'ve just updated all the VIA drivers for my Win98se setup and I still get the message \"Error code 60000 you do not have a compatible sound card . . \". It should work with this card according to nemasys tech supt.
Has anyone got Gigasampler working with VIA PCI sound?
Has anyone got any suggestions?
