I use a SBLive! Value to play GS. I noticed that I get better sound quality by setting GS\'s sampling rate to 44.1kHz and let SBLive! record at 48kHz, rather than set GS to 48kHz and let SBLive! record at the same sampling rate. In other words, the hardware-accelerated sample rate conversion of SBLive! sounds better than the software-based sample rate conversion of GS. Anybody noticed the same thing ? As I understand it, most if not all GS sample libraries are created at 44.1kHz and this is the sampling rate the GS manual recommends.
