Yes, it should work fine. I have a Mona card and a SBLive slightly older than yours and they work fine together. - Doug

thanx doug.but i\'ll lost quality doing this?
cause i need to use a 16 bit soundcard to play the samples(my only midi interface).the result will be better using a sound card 24 bits with midi?
thanx again

HI,
I use Gina24 and emu APS that uses the same chip. They work fine together and no trouble for midi so far.
I use Cubase and Sibelius with Gigastudio though.

I don\'t understand this! Why are you losing
quality, if you only use SBlive MIDI ports
with Giga? Actually, I\'m doing same with my system; Delta Dio2496 driving audio for Giga
and using my old SBLive Value for Midi in Gst96. No problemo!!!
Not much any other use with SBLve today, but
of course you can easily uses it as hardware
sampler (64 voices/32midi/32Mb,but you can cache about half of PC\'s RAM memeory-512->256MB).

Are you using WDM driver? I am using v.5.57 with no problem... Giga doesn\'t show your 2 sound cards to select for WAV.out?
take care,

Botticelli, Cakewalk will stop if things get too \"loaded down\". That is why many users use two computers: one for Giga and one for everything else. I don\'t know how you are using your system but, if you can, try capturing your audio just a few instruments at a time to keep the system load low. You can combine the wave files later. - Doug
