I have the Aardvark Direct Pro 2496. It works very well with Cakewalk Pro Audio 9, Gigastudio, and Samplitude. I don\'t have Soundforge, but do not recall hearing that it has any problems with Soundforge. I have a Dell PIII850 with Windows 98SE. I run Cakewalk and Gigastudio simultaneously, with no problem. If you were thinking about going to Windows XP or upgrading to Sonar, you might have to look elsewhere or wait awhile. The Direct Pro does not yet have WDM drivers and Aarvark is not saying how long it will be. The sound of the Direct Pro is very good - very quiet and very clean.

RICARDO BOTTICELLI,
TIP: Most important is to make sure your system is recommended by the soundcard vendor and of course Tascam before to purchase it. I would recommend the ASUS-CUSL2+P3@1Ghz+512MB@133FSB+MatroxG450/550+HD-UATA100@7200.
You can\'t go any wrong with this MOBO, just plug-and-play.
For the soundcard, see the path as follows: http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/Forum1/HTML/000593.html (\"http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/Forum1/HTML/000593.html\")

Hope this helps,
Long
