Try putting up a want ad in your local coffee shop. Guitarists are ten a penny.

I have heard some really nice demos with the JABB guitars.
Also, I don't know if this is still available, but I have had some pretty good results and it can certainly get you by until you can hire someone to lay tracks.

I hope this helps.

What Wheat said...except for the 'work through Finale' part...
The JABB guitars sound really good. The obvious issue with any Guitar sample is the expression part.
That is tough. If you can make friends with a Guitarist you will be much better off. That is much more likely than making friends with a whole Orchestra.

Beyond simple arpeggios, it's really hard to get convincing guitar parts, especially electric ones, without using a real guitarist, or a real guitarist playing a synth-controller.

Kontakt 2 comes with quite a few guitars, and they will work with Finale.
If you need their parts to be correct on the page - AND play correctly, then I am not sure what to do there - BUT. To control them, is not a hard thing to do within Finale. It just won't LOOK like your normal run-of-the-mill guitar score part.

Of course, that would mean that you have to have Finale 2006 or 2007, AND Kontakt 2.

I've always found electric guitar to be the hardest to duplicate so far, I mean for the instruments I am aiming for.
