The fact still remains that:

1. This community rocks (since I'm still a newbie)
2. Bella D. Media is one amazing company!

(A shame that the download is a tad slow... :p but heck, what else to expect from a free amazing product!)

A big thanks from here... :)

Ditto? :D

What can I say... free is always good. Free and awesome is better. I love this music box. It has a great sound. Have not used the stage sounds yet but it will come in handy some day.

Thanks to everyone at Bela D for sharing these with the community.

Any chance you could be persuaded to repost the Gothik Musicbox?

Thanks!

Bill

OK, that's just plain strange... spooky even<G>.

Ten minutes ago none of those links were live... now they are, and I've downloaded both scoring noises and Gothik... time to give them a spin!!!

Thanks so much...

Bill

Thank you so much gentlemen. You are very generous. You mentioned in an earlier post the possibility of downloadable lite versions of your libs. I would be really interested in the ability to buy individual instruments in your Celtic Winds aollection. I already have pipes samples, but I could really use a tin whistle.:)

The download option has been killed. Are you a student? We do offer an Academic discount of 25% off.

The download option has been killed.

He means the option of downloading our full libraries. Not the freebies that this thread contains. Just clearing that up for anyone new to the thread.

Also, I'm really happy everyone is still enjoying the Gothik Musik Box - it was fun to make, and is still fun to use. =)

Thanks Allen. No I am not a student. Bella D posted a survey about a month ago asking if there would be an interest in lite downloadable versions of your libs.

Personally, I would love the oportunity to purchase individual instruments from the Celtic Winds collection. I would not hesitate to buy the tin whistle.

The entire Lib is too much money right now considdering I need only one, maybe two, of the instruments.

A lite version would be great. Especially in the form of each individual instrument being made available for download.

and I do not mean to (a) suggest how you should run your business, (b) drag this out, or (c) question the value you are offering...

...sometimes it isn't just about the money!

I love lite versions of libraries because they are usually much easier to use. Sometimes I discover I can't live without the full library, and sometimes I discover that I can.

The problem is, and I do understand this, how does one create a lite version of a library that meets all the requirements: (1) it should represent the full library well, (2) it should be useful and usable, (3) it should be cheap.

No easy feat when you are dealing with something complex, and already fairly priced.

Still, I would suggest to all sample library developers that there is some real marketing value to lite versions of complex libraries. Remove some artculations, maybe limit the range a little (not a lot... I remember one library demo that provided one octave of a piano... that simply did not tell me enough about the instrument to get me interested!)

And yes, in some cases all that will be needed is the lite version.

So I appreciate that it is difficult to create a lite version, and that it is not without risk, but with libraries continuing to grow in complexity I hope we will start seeing more lite versions.
