Kontakt 2- Can someone explain to me what scripts are?

I have recently starting using Kontakt 2 and have been reading about Kontakt scripts in various forums. I would like to know exactly what a Kontakt script is. I've also seen a lot of free K2 scripts on the net. Could someone tell me how I would use these within Kontakt?

There is a very user firendly and well written PDF that introduces you to KSP (the Kontakt scripting language) that came along with K2. It will do a better job of explaining what scripts are than I could.

It has great tutorials too.

You could also take a look at Nils Libergs Script Tutorial (http://nilsliberg.se/ksp/scripts/tutorial/) as a supplement to the NI PDF.
