Actually, it's kind of creepy lookin' ... :D It certainly doesn't look as good as the ones they use at TWiT.tv, but I'm no artist. :o

Sean!

Very cool! How did you do that?!? Did you use the Flash program?? (I didn't know that Flash was capable to do this if you did.) If not, what did you use??

Do you mind sharing how you did this?? What programs did you use to trace the cartoon so that it's so similar to the photo??

I would like to try my hand at it for some Too Live Nurse promo photos.

Again. . . very cool, Sean! :)

Yes, that's right, I used the "brush tool" in Flash to simply outline my face from the photo, and then I just colored it in with the "paint bucket". I suppose you could do the same in Microsoft Paint, but Flash's brush tool gives much nicer, smoother lines.

I kept the drawing simple by keeping the mouth white, just tracing the bottom of the nose, one curve per ear, and lines in the hair to show which way it goes... it takes a bit of experimenting for us non-cartoonists... :D I've seen cartoonists do similar things, and, needless to say, they're much nicer looking. :D

I have an older version of Flash. I've only used it to create simple GIF animations. Never tried to create a cartoon using this program, though.

I've experimented creating cartoon looking figures from photos using Photoshop. Never came out looking like cartoons, unfortunately. Not like what's seen on television. Most certainly not like what you created, Sean! What you created is what I want. :o

I think you under estimate your talent, Sean. Very cool! :)

Thanks for sharing how you created the cartoon figure of yourself. Taking the time to share your "cartoon secrets" is also very cool, my friend. :)

Cheers! :D

Thinking of cartoons, for Christmas cards this year I drew a quick cartoon of my family, such as it is...
