Well, after my first pathetic attempt at playing this wonderful instrument (http://www.northernsounds.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50046) I really think I'm making progress. Thanx largely to Spitefire31's helpfull critique I've rewritten the solo violin part and tidied up my playing - a lot more practice still needed. I have yet to add channel aftertouch but I'm really pleased with the results so far. You can hear it at

Sounds very real, Colin D. I ordered mine a few days ago, but will have to wait until after Christmas. No problem, I have a lot to keep me busy in the meantime..........

Congrats! This sounds like a violin – really nice!)(~

For additional expressiveness, maybe you could also try to sometimes 'fade in' the vibrato after the initial attack; but talk about progress... Good work!
