Hi. A question...
The Art Vista Virtual Grand has a wide range of "style" presets available. And within each "style", there are four presets: soft, medium, hard, and extended. I don't see these explained on the web site or in the documentation. Is this a standard sample library thing?
My assumption is that within each category, the same samples, eq, etc are used, but the samles are mapped to a different velocity curve. I don't own the full Kontact, so I can't open them up to see what's going on. Can anyone explain or elaborate?
To my ears, it seems that the "soft" setting reaches the "harder" samples at lower velocities, which actally makes it the loudest piano... the opposite of what I expected.
Any guidance appreciated.
Many thanks,
Paul
