If someone doesn\'t know what my problem is, check out my earlier post: Half year of trouble.
I used two tracks of audio (24bit 44.1khz). I played guitar and recorded percussion. Strings and piano are midi. I set buffer, opened GS, then Logic and the Sound Forge. Mp3s are about 300 kb so don\'t worry. And results are:
Buffer 336: http://www.netikka.net/tapani.siirtola/buffer_336.mp3 (\"http://www.netikka.net/tapani.siirtola/buffer_336.mp3\")
Audio is good, but midi is clipping. In the end audio stops and message says:
ASIO:
System overload
Audio Engine was not able to
process all requed data in time
(-10011)
Buffer 528: http://www.netikka.net/tapani.siirtola/buffer_528.mp3 (\"http://www.netikka.net/tapani.siirtola/buffer_528.mp3\")
Now Logic plays both audio and midi fairly, but Sound Forge\'s recording is distortered.
Buffer 800: http://www.netikka.net/tapani.siirtola/buffer_800.mp3 (\"http://www.netikka.net/tapani.siirtola/buffer_800.mp3\")
Audio was worse, but midi was clear. Again Sound Forge added some distortion.
Buffer 1056: http://www.netikka.net/tapani.siirtola/buffer_1056.mp3 (\"http://www.netikka.net/tapani.siirtola/buffer_1056.mp3\")
Ok. That\'s better. Only small distortion.
Buffer 1344: http://www.netikka.net/tapani.siirtola/buffer_1344.mp3 (\"http://www.netikka.net/tapani.siirtola/buffer_1344.mp3\")
Oh my god! Audio is fine, but midi! Just horrible...
Buffer 1450 and up:
Midi is totally useless like in 1344
Can U make anything out of these? In all buffer sizes there was some drop-outs ever now and then. So I\'m not quite ready for making my heavy metal demo images/icons/smile.gif But I see light in end of the tunnel...
