Thank's Olivier, interesting example of what K2.1 programming can do for sampled Piano.
I don't now if you plan to improve this in the future, but here is some comments :
- Your script take control of the envelop, with a steep attack. This brings light to many sample starts "tics" in the bass notes. (OldLady original instrument overcome samples "tics" with a lazy 1.5ms attack)
- Sometimes when playing very short chords (with extra-fast grace notes for instance), the PD convolution is bugging and resonnate. NO, I'm not confusing with the releases overtones, this bug is still present when Play_release_con is disabled.
- Release overtones : interesting programming again. Everybody can adjust the level and the envelop to his taste.
I will also try other Impuse files, the one you use makes the overtones coming a little from outside of the piano (at least based on headphone : to "left panned")
Thank's again for sharing this :)

Yes, i will adjust the value to delete tics.

It's a bug and not a bug. because i've had a feature :
in a real piano if you play an event note at the right hand and you have more than 3 keys still down (at left of the event note) you hear :
_ overtones
_ and a a beginning of sustain body resonance even if the pedal is up
(like a half sustain pedal)
(pedal up : if you have a few damper free (key down), the piano begin to resonate (i don't speak of dry overtones) near the resonance of pedal down (when all dampers are free)
I've made a algorytm. the amount depend of the KEYS still down.
The effect + dry overtones add realism.
But the problem it that the rules still happen when several keys are played in the same times (chord) . i will fix this in the script.
- Release overtones : interesting programming again. Everybody can adjust the level and the envelop to his taste.
I will also try other Impuse files, the one you use makes the overtones coming a little from outside of the piano (at least based on headphone : to "left panned")
I will add KNOB to control overtones settings and convolution settings

Hi,
It's better but there is sometimes a remaining (shorter) "key-convolution" sound after releasing all notes.
When you do this (all PU) :
- sustained left hand chords
- staccato right hand same chords (overtones + "key-conv" effect sound = OK)
- release left hand chords (overtones are killed but "key-conv" effect still sounds)
This could be anoying when you release the left hand chord very quickly after having played the right hand one. (the remaining "key-conv" effect is longer than the release effect)

Really nice, Thank's!
Except for a sound that remains after playing big staccato chords.
The CPU load and DFD usage is massive...
