Is Audiophile 2496's Monitor Mixer an internal DIGITAL input?

For example, let\'s say I route my sound program to WavOut 1/2 (GigaStudio, in this case), then in another program (Cool Edit Pro 2.0, in this case) record Audiophile\'s Monitor Mixer output, will the transfer be digital? Will the data be transfered from GigaStudio\'s outs to CEP2\'s ins?

Or will I have to write WAV files from within GigaStudio, internally?

In other words, does the data ever get converted to analog, between these two programs, or does it stay in digital form due to Monitor Mixer?
