Happy New Year to everyone!
I thought I would share a complete ~| moment with you all. (I'm using ~| because there is no icon slapping itself in the forehead!)
I've been working on a remix of Once In Royal Davids City and I ran into a very strange problem that I could not figure out. Basically, the sounds were at times truncating, just a bit and seemingly randomly throughout the piece. I thought I might have messed something up with mod wheel data, but it was not that.
To make a long story short, I had days before (and around 1:00 am) added an LA2A compressor to the master bus when working on the French Horns just to see what would happen. I ended the night and completely forgot I had the compressor inserted. Needless to say when I finally found what the problem was I slapped myself on the forehead multiple times and sighed thinking about how much time I'd wasted on the oversight. :o
I've posted the song in the Listening Room if you'd like to give a listen. I could use any advice or comments to help improve the work!
