I believe it may be a set up problem in K2. I'll take your suggestions and try them out tonight.

In the Instrument GUI - below Purge and left of the red Mute button - there are three lights: red, yellow and green. Which one is lit?

Well I solved the problem. I sold my PC and most of the hardware as well. As far as the Strad 2, now neatly stored on a shelf with the rest of the software. I think I am going to make a little display. :)
