making bits

Hi,
I'm looking for a VSTi to make bits with it. From accoustic drum bits to electronic techno bits...
I'm not sure if battery from NI is good or not.
I don't want to give midi notes and get drum sounds. I'd like to be able to creat bits and loops through pads maybe.

any sugesstions?
