View Full Version : What exactly are the limitations of using GS with SB Live?

SB cards work just fine with Giga in Win98 using the DirectSound interface. You will be limited to two audio channels. SBs, however, will NOT work if you upgrade to XP or 2000. You MUST have a GSIF-compatible card for these. You can buy a GSIF sound card for well under $200 these days.

ME should be OK. Many don\'t like it for audio but I\'ve had acceptable results with it.
