SB AWE64 Gold not working under W98

I\'ve read the SB AWE64 Gold known issue and I\'ve checked that no \"Creative AWE64 Gold WaveSynth\\WG\" or \"Creative AWE64 Gold Sound Font MIDI Router\" is installed on my system.

But I can\'t send MIDI data through my MIDI controller and using the Virtual Keyboard I hear no sound!

I don\'t want to spend money in a new card images/icons/frown.gif

Have you tried removing the card from the device manager, restarting windows and letting it detect the card and install it again?

Another option, try putting it in another PCI slot of your motherboard.
