The New York Times has just run an extensive article on the use of virtual orchestra software on Broadway and beyond. Specific products mentioned are Notion and Realtime Music Solutions Sinfonia.

Thanks for posting this, Wheat. VERY interesting article about the use of Notion and Sinfonia in the touring versions of some shows, and the constant debate about using such set ups on Broadway.

Reminds me that I have a post to write which is an off-shoot of this topic. I shall return with it.
