What instrumental and choir libraries did you use? I believe I hear EWQLSC in there...

Excellent work. You did an incredible job of rendering a very real sounding choir.

Thank you very much Saraswati,
it is a pleasure for me to be able to cause such emotions.

I have been using EWQLSO Gold XP and EWQLSC.

Thanks a lot for the comments.

Thank you very much Eric,
as you probably know I love to write for choir. So every time I do it I am always inspired to get the best rendering i can for choir samples.

Thanks again,
Roberto

Roberto,
As you know, I really admire your work, this sounds really nice.
I am still not fond of choir libraries where there is no discernable lyrics. To me, these "choir" libraries are acceptable and very useable, but only providing simple ahh''s and ooh's like the phrases following 2:25.

I sense the discomfort that you have in your heart about so many lives being lost during war.
So sad for the families left behind.

Thank you Roberto for this musical reflection.

Thanks Dan,
for stop by and listen to the piece.
I know that you don't like this choir, but i want to tell that for me this
choir meant a lot. I have been inspired in writing music with this tool.

I am glad that this technology could allow me (as a non professionist) to be able to write my own music giving me the feeling (just the feeling) that a real choir is singing in there.

Any other technical question is without meaning for me:
no software will never replace human voice as well as a real instrument.

Anyways... thanks again my friend,
Roberto

A beautiful and haunting use of the choir voices. I like the dynamics where it moves into the quieter section with the soprano voice. Very nice! Thanks for sharing this with everyone. Regards, John

The whole piece is nice, but the choir work is amazing. It totally sounds like a real choir from start to finish. I realize this is more from your talent than the library, but I am curious what samples were used. If you prefer not to say, don't worry about it.

This is what he used.

Roberto already mentioned in another forum about this piece, but don't see the harm in repeating what I said: Great music, great rendering, orchestra and choir sound awesmoe, and the only compaint I have from you is your classical (always) hamronies. Imagine what you could do if you would open up a bit. (PhD speaking now :P).

That said, it is a perfect piece! :D

Beautiful piece Roberto.
The choir sounds really good.

I suspect that this may be the reverb (Convolution ??) used but the clarinet sound is a little unpleasant at times, sometimes I thought it was an Organ or French Horn on certain notes.

I noticed the same timbre later in the piece with some of the singing, so it must be the reverb.

A lovely haunting piece.

That is beautiful. Good greif, you'll hear bad things about or bad music made with any library, but this is proof that the power is in the composer's hands. The piece is so strong that it would stand up if rendered using FM synthesis. Throw your wonderful talent with samples in, and I don't even feel a desire to hear it live. This is live! Not to say it sounds 100 percent perfectly realistic, but at this level of artistry, that pursuit is not the top priory. This is very moving. 'Nuff said.

I hear the same with the clarinet and the high soprano voice.
Still, it's a great piece of work.

Hi crazyox,
thanks for the comments. So I used EWQLSC for the choirs realization and EWQLSO gold XP PRO for the orchestra.

Hope this could help.

The following is in regards to the library not the composition. I am more impressed with the EWQSLC Choirs than the EWQLSO gold XP Pro (I keep expecting the next version to be the 'EWQSLO Uranium Isotope U230 XP64 Grand Pooba Extreme')

The orchestra is sequenced perfectly here, by my ears anyway, but I see no difference in the instruments themselves than from any of the other respecctable libraries. Just my opinion, which shouldn't count for much. I stated it because I want to see how many people tell me I'm wrong don't

Very beautiful piece!
I like the strings and horns at the begining
and the Choirs are fantastic! :)
Thanks for sharing!
Also your using QLSO Gold XP,
but I hear some reverb other then the natural ambience from QLSO.
So I assume your using Altiverb or something.

Hey joaz,
how are you?

Thanks for stopping by and listening to the piece.

I think you are right about the clarinet.
This is a particular patch of EWQLSO pro xp and i tried to modify it in order to get a better legato but i didin't remove the RT layer. I think that is the problem.

Thanks again Joaz, always a pleasure to get your comments.

Hi Robeach,

nice production as usual. Yeah forget stories about producers (EWQL=EVIL:D ), the choir is good, at least for your pourpose.

I don't like too much the vocal solo parts (single or section) in the sequence, but it seems to be only my taste, other people are appreciating it.

(I had refined it with more sound and dynamic modulation, to hide a little the rigid sound the solo section has more exposed)

the ensamble parts are almost all excellent, IMHO.

The extra reverb is just a little bit of Kontakt preset reverb.

Thanks Fabio for your comments!!

You are right maybe the last part is a little bit rigid in therms of dynamics.

Hope you had a good easter!!!
