This is a forte version of our first (and poor) woodwind trial. The only difference is that each part is doubled at the unison, i.e. 2 flutes instead of one, 2 oboes instead of one, etc.. This is a typical beginner's mistake. First, doubling at the unison does very little to increase loudness, it just makes the sound FATTER. Second, the balance problems are still there: the oboe is much too loud, compared to the flute. And overall, the sound does not blend well.
Let's try another version, this time AVOIDING unison doubling, and now including 2 horns.
