If you are in LA and can be without your midi controller keyboard overnight: I offer a free set of the Art Vista sample libraries in return for borrowing your keys for an evening. I need to check the most common controller keyboards so they work well with the upcoming Virtual Grand Piano 2.
Drop off the keyboard one day pick it up the next, and get $350 worth of sample libs: Virtual Grand Piano, Malmsjö Acoustic Grand, Cool Vibes, and also my gratitude. I am located on the west side of LA, just outside of Santa Monica.
I am interested in Kurzweil, Yamaha, Korg, Roland, CME, Doepfer, Alesis, M-Audio, Fatar, and possibly other suggestions.
I will only need to check each kind once, so if you are interested let me know ASAP.
If you want to help me with this, send an email to:

Sounds like a generous offer. Wish I wasn't on the opposite side of the continent. Then again, my controller costs less than your collection, so you'd save if you picked it up yourself....
Good luck with your releases, Hans!

Shame I'm in England: you could have made use of a Doepfer LMK4+ ~|
Sounds very interesting: can't wait for further news.

Thanks all of you that have offered keyboards.
I am about to get started, but am still missing a few keyboards:
ROLAND - any weighted
YAMAHA - P-80, P90, P120, S90
FATAR - SL990, SL1100 and VMK 88
KURZWEIL - K2500XS
DOEPFER - LMK4 or PK88
CME - UF8
PEAVEY - DPM C8
Unfortunately my car is not big enough to transport a keyboard, so each keyboard has to be dropped off and picked up.
Also, I have had a few offers for non-weighted keyboards. I will try to focus on the weighted keys first, because they are harder to match in touch and response.
Thanks all!

Last call!
I still need the keys listed above, except for the Fatar 990 and maybe the Peavey.
Send me an e-mail at hansadamson@artvista.net .
Ciao Hans, if you're able to put your hands also on a Oberheim (Viscount) MC1000 it would be appreciated :-)

I've got a rental car this weekend. It is big enough to transport a keyboard, so I can pick up - if that will make this more interesting.
Xist,
Yes, I would gladly take on the Oberheim if I could find one...

A second Virtual Grand - great news!
I play the VG exclusively and recommend it on Piano World's Digital forum. Was sceptical of the presets at first, but have come to love the Jazz Extended.
You may want to post on craigslist re the P80.
Have you already chosen the piano that you'll sample?
Please let us know how your 'board search is coming along.

Hello David,
It is an update of the current software. So it is the same Steinway B. But it is total revamp from the bottom up.
Thanks,
Hans

Hans - sent you an email. I have a Kurzweil MIDIBoard that you're free to use. I'm moving this week and will likely have it packed away in a day or so anyway, so let me know if you're interested.

Please let us know the result of your comparison. Many of us are looking for a new master controller, and it's impossible to find various models on display at music stores, so we have to rely on user reviews from others.
