I have a Yamaha QY700 and a Kurzweil PC2R which I use top progam and change my midi instructions to audio. First, am I in the right forum? Second, what would be my next step to get better midi to audio conversion? Thanks, Norm Guitar

What's wrong with the results you are getting now? I don't really think of it as converting, just as using MIDI to play the instrument (whether the instrument is hardware or virtual). On the other hand, if you actually meant audio to MIDI, that's a whole other can of worms.

MIDI-to-audio conversion is a poor term. What you want to do is actually "record" or "render" to audio. That rendering should capture the sound perfectly.
DAW programs will do that for you, such as CUBASE, or REAPER, which I really like.
